When you are not tied to the deadlines associated with construction loans, several of our clients choose to have their home taken to this stage by a local general contractor, thus allowing them to complete the interior as time allows. Depending on how involved you get in your project you can usually save money if you have the time available to contribute to your project.  However, lending institutions usually only allow you up to 12 months to build, so you will need to stay on a strict time line.
